Pet Overview 2:Red Pixie

Up next for the pet overview series is the Red Pixie.
This pet was once known to be perhaps the best pet to use in pvp on pet class.
Dual summon two of these girls and you would shred most classes.
Thought this is not common practice anymore, it is still seen today for those who can't afford a higher pet or simply prefer this method.
Leveling wise, the red pixie isn't the best pet for everybody. It is a damage pet and is very weak. Your aggro needs to be watched when soloing. However, when farming with a pet class such as a Battle Summoner you and th red pixie and have a decent kill speed with little to no down time.
On a non-petclass you must be careful with your mana consumption as the attacks are draining on your poor pixies mana.
In dungeon parties this pet is normallly accepted to be a good damage dealer.
I wouldn't suggest this as a main pet for new melee players as the a blue pixie would be more suitable in soloing.
This pet is squishy compared to most, has high mana attack, relys on skills, and uses ranged attacks.

3 Way Scam

In a need to help players, an issue upon the forums has been brought up by prophet_of_zeus.
"Hey People,

There are people in this game who play cross server and use their cunning and conniving ways to take items from others and benefit from others using deals born from a dark mother mind in a shadowy alley somewhere.

One of these scams and some of these people are The Three Way Scam as practised by Player A and Player B on Naga Server.


Heres the deal.

I wanted to trade my R7 White Dragon for another Death Tyrant offering my 119 S1 Genie as part of the trade for a fresh. Player A, was the one with the DT and decided he would take 5 Billion cash and my Genie for the Tyrant, fair deal in my eyes considering the trade amounts to around 9.5 Billion+.

Only one problem however, I dont have 5 Billion cash. Lucky for me, enter Player B who was fortunately buying an R7 White Dragon and offering 5.5 Billion, lower price to me but he had the cash on him nonetheless. I added both to a party and our meeting place was Trainee Island (for no reason, just random choice).

Player A (now on his alt) told me he wanted the 5 Billion and the Genie as per the agreement and I told him to take the White Dragon and Genie and trade the White Dragon to Player B who had the 5.5 Billion cash right next to Player A and could have showed him in trade.

At this point the worst thing that could have happened is that Player A could have been left with a Rank 7 White Dragon which he could have sold to one of MANY buyers in whole chat for 5.5 Billion also, bear in mind he only wanted 5.

Since everyone would have been in a position of secure and fair trade this is the point of no lose where everyone would have won. Surely this is trade point right?

Wrong.

At this point which was around 3-4 minutes of the three of us being together Player A began to become abusive, swearing at me, trying to pressure me into selling my White Dragon to Player B and then giving him the cash and the Genie. He kept running away from the trade and while returning he and Player B had taken consecutive turns in spamming me, each in conversational order, first Player A telling me to sell the Dragon to Player B and then Player B telling me to give him the Dragon and trade Player A.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is The Three Way scam.


You see, Player A and Player B are the same people. How did I know? The mechanical conversation where only one moved around at any given time, how they took turns in talking to me, first Player A then PlayerB and never once did they speak at the same time or overlap.

The giveaway was when Player A was asking only 5 Billion and yet he saw people in whole chat BUYING Rank 7 White Dragons offering 5.5 Billion (500 Million MORE than he wanted). ANY logical and business mind would snatch the Dragon and make 500 mill more, but he never.

Now, the point of the scam. Player A did indeed have a Death Tyrant but had no intention of selling or trading it. The point of the trade was to pressure me into trading his alter ego - Player B, and in doing so trading for the 5 Billion and then refusing to trade me the Tyrant.

Why? I hear you say, well heres why.

By doing so he would have obtained a mega cheap Rank 7 White Dragon which are hot as hell on Naga and VERY hard to buy, and had the two top pets, retaining his Death Tyrant and leaving me with only my Genie.

What does he gain by this? The cheap Dragon of course. But is this all, a cheaper Dragon? Why pay me I hear you say.

By doing it he gets to scam me out of my pet by manipulating me, making me belive I will get the Death Tyrant. By paying me, he could not be disciplined by GMs since he paid a nice price and I was the one to close the trade without checking anything.

He doesnt want to get imself banned but he does want to trick me into giving him my Dragon via his alter ego at a price costing me hundreds of millions.


Beware of these people on Naga server.

I posted here because I want all Nagas to be wary of Player A and Player B anything similar to the last name.

This isnt an accusative thread, this player tried to get hold of my pet and cause me a loss of hundreds of millions leaving me petless without the Rank 6 and being short changed by hundreds of millions.

To everyone just be careful of trades and always think. If you are pressured into something the likelihood is someone is trying to get one over on you or there is something dodgy about the trade.

Pet Overview 1:Orc

Orcs are one of the first pets of Rappelz to drop. They have been around forever and are a great pet for beginners. They are in the second tier of pets along with Yetis, Blue Pixies, Red Pixies, Sirens, and after the new updates, Octopus and Wolfs.
They are considered a hybrid melee pet by many. They do some tanking, some damage. This makes them an extremelly good pet for almost any class. They arent too difficult to build, are cheap, and are great for almost any new player.
This guide assumes you are overbreeding your orc. So at level 115+25 you will have 150 Job Points.
From my experience Orcs go on a mostly passive build, focusing on stuns and heavy hits.

Unstaged at level 1 and orc starts with:
Strength: 17
Vitality: 16
Agility: 6
Intelligence: 10
Wisdom: 9
Dexterity: 7
Luck: 10

At 60+10 evo2 an orc has:
Strength: 77
Vitality: 72
Agility: 27
Intelligence: 45
Wisdom: 41
Dexterity: 31
Luck: 20

At 115+25 evo3 an orc has:
Strength: 126
Vitality: 118
Agility: 44
Intelligence: 74
Widsom: 66
Dexterity: 52
Luck: 30

As apparante from the stats. An orc is melee based, sort of like a fighter is. The Job Point build on these guides will be assuming you are not using a pet class.
